WOW-Freakz has recently lowered its' reputation rate to 1x. I was wondering if you could leave it at least 3x or so, or maybe make a promotion from time to time (such as the holiday seasons) to increase the reputation gain to 5x or whatever you think is ok.
The server has the feature to modify your rates from your account panel, xp rates, reputation rates, drop rates, etc. But this decision, to make the server 1x reputation, is kind of making that feature useless. If someone likes to play at a lower rate, and experience the game in a different manner, they have the possibility to do so. That's what was always nice, that you could choose your own rate.
I, for one, and i'm sure many of you will agree, like to play on private servers, especially on Freakz because:
1. it's free
2. high rates
3. people care about the server and its' development

I would love if there was 2x reputation. Reputation grind is one of the most cancerous parts of an MMO.

I believe that growth rates are already very well established incomparatie with other servers, although each could choose rate reputation in the way he wants, I think it is good and as it is at the moment ...

don't know what you mean by growth rates, but that's why people play here, for the reason that i stated in my first post (all though the discussion is much complex than that).
There is an entire discussion to be had about Freakz' politics to lower they're rates, probably due to them thinking that people will associate low rates with a high percentage of working content. I think that is true only in a very small number of cases.
That's why it's a private server. Private server rates, private server scripts, custom things, etc. If rates are 1x, people will expect everything to work 100%, so you can expect more crying from the community.
And another aspect that we can see from the rates is that people got achievements, gear, titles, reputation, in a fraction of the time that it will take you do them.
If a new player joins the server and has 1x reputation, and sees a player that got all their titles and achievements 10 times faster, how do you think that player will feel?
The fact that Freakz is looking forward to lowering its' rates is a form of keeping here the players that already play, since they don't need to grind anything anymore, or already have a lot of off characters.
As I said before, the discussion is much complex than this, and has a lot to do with Freakz' plans looking into the future, but I think it is a wrong approach.

I support this, as long as the xp rate is customizable, it should be the same with rep farming. As mentioned before, we all focus on the end content, so me farming old achievements from factions that require reputation acquired at a x1 rate, makes my titty wanna hit the floor the next second.
imo the most appropriate thing to do at this moment would be to leave the pre-mop reputation rates customizeable, while the mop ones, like emperor shaohao (or the ones that award FoS achievs) and whatnot, which should obviously be more challenging to obtain, at x1.

Main reasons we decreased reputation rates:
1. Most reputations already work correctly (and those that don't get fixed fast as long as there is a bug report about them)
2. We want people to be online ingame as much as possible (yes, you hate grinding, we know).
Also, when the lowlevel content will be better scripted, we will probably also decrease XP rates
