Shadow graphic settings on Battle for Azeroth

Hello everyone! Playing around the PTR for BFA I found that turning shadows off is not possible anymore, the lowest setting still leaves them on. I've tried messing around the config file, reducing it to 0 but it's always on. As I play on an average low end laptop pulling 30-40 fps in Legion. Having shadows on in BFA makes it really hard to play.
Do you guys know anything, anyway to turn them off in BFA?
Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately blizz removed any permanent way to completely turn off shadows
