Bug description: forked lightning is doing to much dmg , in photo 1 you can see 1 forked lightning 1 million with 14 hits , in photo to 2 , 2 forked lightnings 2 millions 1 use per burst with 14 hits .
and 1 hit from that spell is 85k and 127k crit . in this video i see dmg from those bolts 24k 25k and 37k 39k crits

Hmm.. this is strange..
Forked lightning should deal 200% X Spell power nature damage
Enhance has ~20k agility in arena - that means 20k AP = 20k spell power
So forked lightning should deal 20kx2 = 40k X 1.22 (22% mastery) = ~50k per hit.
So how is it possible to reach those numbers ? average hit in first screen of 72k and in the second one 70k
Considering that some of those hits surely were reduced by some defensives and resto shamy's earth shield (15% dmg reduction) .. I belive this spell deals more damage than it should.

I also find it very strange that in the second photo forked lightning dealt double the damage stormstrike did. and SS should be the main source of dmg for enhance.

PS. If someone could check if https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=204357 (wowhead link) doesn;t have the same problem.

@Quicksand, take a look and fix as soon as possible this and to see if there are any more problems about enhs. This topic and the one with pvp multipier for Stormstrike.

You can't do pvp when you encounter enha. I've tested at 2v2, with 18 traits weapon and without Heroism, i one shot everything throw any def cd..174k dps in 20 sec of arena..

I might have found the problem, but it might not solve everything...
It had 200% SP damage (enh shamans have a high boost on AP -> SP conversion so that Healing Surge actually does not heal like a wet noodle).

Changed it to AP based damage, I can account for every damage done as of now.
With 22372 AP it should be 44744 + 22% mastery + 16% versatility: 63853 final output.
It does 63.852 in my recount. So it should be okay.

Also, I don't know why do you people keep saying that it should deal less damage than Stormstrike

SS does WEAPON based PHYSICAL damage (reduced by armor and stuff) while Forked Lightning does Nature damage.
You keep telling me that it dealt double damage, it did not. On this picture http://imgur.com/a/FWTJD Stormstrike did a total of 1.506.360 (Stormstrike and Stormstrike Off-hand appear as two different things there).
Same on the second picture (http://imgur.com/a/fSz9T): SS did 5.45M damage. And those are ALL single target damage. Forked Lightning hits two targets, but the single target damage output is way lower. I cannot possibly do anything about the fact that they do around the same damage.

I don't know what do you expect people... 400% AP based damage is HUGE considering that you cast one every few seconds due to SS procs and you basically spam SS because that's your main damage dealer. EVERY TIME you cast SS a forked lightning goes out, hitting two targets for 200% AP damage for a total of 400%. Just a comparison: lava burst is supposed to hit hard, it has a 275% SP coefficient. That's not even close to 400%. And lava burst has a cooldown, this one basically doesn't if you get lucky with SS procs. The overall damage of forked lightning will go down a bit, but don't expect huge changes.

I don't know who told you about it not being in the top 5, I read some comments from retail, they say:
"I would always use Forked Lightning. It´s usually in 2nd or 3rd spot of my overall damage. I tested Ride the Lightning for a bit but I wasn´t impressed and even though the tooltip says they do the same damage it doesn´t feel like it."

My only guess that MIGHT be viable but needs solid proof, that the damage is shared across targets. Meaning each target gets 100% worth of AP damage and not 200%

I am preeeeetty sure that the damage should be split between targets, so I'll flag the spell so that it splits the damage
