Primele critici blameaza filmul, spunand ca scenaristii au gasit un motiv ieftin (nazistii) pentru a readuce la viata povestea "Femeii in negru". De asemenea, se pare ca filmul are cateva "jump-scares" (urate de majoritatea criticilor) care evapora tensiunea si suspansul care ar fi trebuit, de fapt, sa fie prezente.Nota 8
