The reason why you must have full ruthless to 2v2

Reason: Your partner does not use Polymorph/Sap/Fear/Cyclone/etc.

If you have a partner that does these things, and you do them, then you can enter in weak gear and get a good score. However, if you're relying on global to find you a capping partner and you're ungeared like myself, prepare for all the "nub you're too low" > teamkick, remarks even though the reality is a simple cc or two would have won you nearly every game. Cata geared players need carried

Not qq'n, just giving warning to you all, gear does NOT equal skill, I've been getting more wins with low geared people with cc skill than I have been with cata geared dps machines. And yes, most of us know this, I don't need to hear "No shit!", if you know it, it's obviously not aimed at you... No shit.

You're right.I was doing 2v2 as a ret with 2k ress and blue items with a disci priest with around 3k ress.I was 70% of the time vs 145k HP people and I hardly had 127k hp.The funny part is that they sucked soo bad in the arenas that I have been ressurected in a match...too bad I released the spirit and couldn't get back into the fight.

Well not full blue but I've seen people half crafted gear/half Ruth, reaching 2.2k.

i don't know about now as i haven't played for rating, but i do know in wotlk i got to 2k my first week in low gear. sure, i didn't have an impressive win/loss ratio but i still got there

I only play Ele PvP. Used to do it with a disc priest until he quited wow, now I'm just faping around.
