Why can I not log in?

I was playing when I noticed that I could not do anything (like talking to NPCs) anymore, even though I could move and see updates in the chat. I had to close WoW.

For the past half an hour or so, I have not been able to log in. It always says 'Connecting' and sometimes goes up to 'Logging in to game server', but it always stops without logging me in. I checked the site, thinking the server might be down, and at first, it said the server is online and has been online for 1 hour and 44 minutes. Then, when I checked again, it said the server is offline, but that quickly changed to the server having been up for 1 hour and 55 minutes after I logged in. I have restarted my computer thrice and have tried to log in about ten times, all to no avail.

Just what is going on?

Host issues, will be fixed asap.

Update: It was fixed.
