Proaspãt mutaþi în casã nouã, o mamã singurã ºi cei trei copii ai sãi sunt martorii unor fenomene stranii ºi inexplicabile. Belle ºi sora ei mai micã sperã ca economiile fãcute la cumpãrarea acestei locuinþe nesperat de ieftinã sã acopere tratamentul costisitor de care frãþiorul lor bolnav are atâta nevoie. ªirul întâmplãrilor inexplicabile dã însã motive de îngrijorare tinerei Belle, care aflã în scurt timp un adevãr îngrozitor: casa în care tocmai s-au mutat este infamul conac Amytiville, scena unor crime îngrozitoare petrecute cu nu foarte mult timp în urmã.
