Sutter Keely trãieºte clipa ºi asta îi face bine. E în ultimul an de liceu, e fermecãtor, încrezãtor, sufletul petrecerilor, îºi iubeºte slujba de la un magazin de îmbrãcãminte pentru bãrbaþi ºi nu are niciun plan pe viitor. Dupã ce este pãrãsit de iubitã, se îmbatã ºi se trezeºte în curtea adolescentei Aimee Finicky. Ea e o tipã diferitã: o tipã drãguþã care citeºte literaturã SF ºi nu are iubit. În timp ce Aimee viseazã la viitor, Sutter trãieºte marea iluzie a spectaculosului prezent ºi, în ciuda diferenþelor, ajung sã se simtã atraºi unul de altul.
