game not saving settings

i've reinstalled my windows and i redownloaded WoW, right from the site on the torrent button.

i set the graphics, windowed, sound, ui scale, etc, but nothing from these get saved for the next time i launch the game.
every time i open the game it asks me to accept the terms and the "remember my username" box gets unchecked.

how can i do to fix this? i did try to uncheck the "read only" box from Data folder properties. I did try to close the game normally after setting everything.
this applies to both launchers, MoP and Legion (on Legion i used the correct one, launcher_freakz_64)

i searched other topics and didn't find help.

Uncheck WTF folder for read-only label and retry.

it worked, but if i open again the properties for the WTF folder, the box still seems checked. But works, settings get saved.

I think you need to have admin permissions on your PC so the option remains unchecked

i'm doing that, admin permission, but at least works even with it checked, after i uncheck it.

not applied to Legion launcher though, i downloaded the torrent from the site, opened the launcher_64, and i get disconnected saying i don't have the latest, also settings not saved.
