yes, that's also true, on the gloves profession enchant you get a "you are in the wrong zone" warning which gets removed after you unequip and requip the gloves, maybe there's a correlation ...

i think the current aura is used from 7.0.3 where it used to have 101% proc chance, instead of the 7.3.0 one which has a 5% proc chance
