Affliction Warlock PvE Guide

Since we are going to upgrade to Cataclysm , i've decided to make this guide to show players how the warlock class " works " pve wise in cataclysm


Shortages : Sbolt - Shadow bolt
SB - Soul Burn
DS - Demon Soul
AoE - Area of Effect







Sbolt Affliction

Glyphs : Prime glyphs - Glyph of Haunt
- Glyph of Unstable Affliction



Major - Soul swap
- Life tap
- Sbolt

Minor glyphs are useless . Suits yourself what are you gonna use.





This spec is for both Single target & AoE dps

Glyphs : Prime - Imolate
- Metamorphosis
- Felguard ( AoE fights )
- Incinerate (Single target)

Major :- Life tap
- Sbolt






Spec pentru single target cat si pentru AoE


Glyphs : Prime - Conflagrate
- Imolate ( Boosts conflag damadge )
- Imp

Major - Life tap The rest do not improve your dps , it's your choice here which are you going to use , but life tap is mandatory

Dps specs : - Deep demo ( for the 10% sp buff ) > Affliction > Destruction


Demons

Affliction - Felhunter
Demonology (Single Target) - Felhunter
Demonology (AoE) - Felguard
Destruction - Imp



On cataclysm , Warlocks recieved some new " demons " called guardians and they will be used in this way :


Single Target : Doomguard
AoE: Infernal





For single target :

Curse of elements > Haunt > Bane of Doom > Corruption > Demon Soul ( In momentul acesta s-au procuit trinketele / t11 bonus / enchants si va ofera 20% dmg in plus la dots ) > Shadowflame when you're moving ( Also for Fel Flame ) > Drain soul with dot refresh when the target is below 25%

Aoe Dps :

Soulburn : Seed of corruption > Dots on one target > Soul swap on another target > Shadowflame





Single target : Meta > Demon Soul (felguard ) > Imolate > Hand of Gul'dan > Bane of Doom > Imolation aura > Corruption > Incinerate ( Molten core proc ) > Soul Fire ( Decimation proc ) > Refresh dots and cast Hand of Gul'dan on cooldown.

AoE : Meta > Imolation aura > Shadowflame > Helfire






Single target : Coe > Soulburn : Soulfire ( It should be mentained throughout the fight , that means even hardcasting it ) > Demon soul > Imolate > Conflag > Bane of Doom > Chaos bolt > Instant soul fire ( Improved Imp )

Aoe : Shadowflame > Rain of fire






Intellect >> Hit (until you reach 1742 rating / 17% ) > Haste > Crit > Mastery






Brilliant Inferno Ruby In all the sockets if the socket bonus is below 20 intelect
Artful Ember Topaz or Reckless Ember topaz in yellow sockets
Veiled Demonseye in blue sockets
Chaotic Shadowspirit Diamnond in meta socket

Enchants :



Head- Guardians of Hyjal - Exalted
Shoulders- Therazane - Exalted
Back- Enchant cloak - Greater intelect
Chest- Enchant chest - Peerles stats
Bracers- Enchant Bracer - Mighty intelect
Weapon- Power torrent
Offhand- Superior intelect
Legs- Powerful enchanted spellthread
Boots- Lavawalker
Gloves- Exceptional spellpower



Flasks & Potions & Food :


- Volcanic Potion
- Flask of draconic mind
- Severed Sagefish Head
