How to use an Addon

What’s an addon ?

An addon is a group of files that are copied in a certain folder where you have installed WoW ( ex : Local Disk ( D: ) - > Jocuri -> Wow )changed your user interface or adds new elements that helps you during your game.
Exeample : Bertender 4 – with this addon you can move your action bars.





Where i can find the addons ?

Addons Categories

Well there are many categories like PvE, PvP and addons for each class.

What is the difference?

Well, for example http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/gladius.aspx fits in the PvP category because it’s very usefull in 2vs2.3vs3,5vs5 and useless in pve

How do we search for an addon?

After you find your addon http://img171.imageshack.us/i/38165050.png/Download and choose: 1 Manual Install 2 Install w/ V3 Client 3 Install w/ V4 Client – choose first option.

What do we do after we download it?

After you downloaded the addon dearchivate it in the folder http://img535.imageshack.us/i/91013069.png/Interface where you can find a folder called “AddOns” open it and dearchivate there.
Open the game by wow.exe – do not open it from Launcher!!. Login and you will see a button called “AddOns” go there and check Load out of date AddOns http://img69.imageshack.us/i/54041645.png/ . After you check everything and click Okay enter the game. To change your prefferences of the addon press “esc” go to “interface” and somewhere above you should have the category where you can change your prefferences but not every addon have this option, some of them must be changed by entering a command into /chat or by the icon on the minimap.
