Imediat dupa ce a plecat de la Steaua, pentru Gica Hagi a aparut varianta Universitatea Craiova. Oltenii sunt pe ultimul loc al clasamentului. Cum mai multi oameni de fotbal l-au sfatuit pe 'Rege' sa aleaga o echipa mai mica, Gica ar putea da curs unei eventuale oferte. Patronul Stiintei, Adrian Mititelu, a spus: 'Hagi ar fi o solutie, dar trebuie sa ne punem toti de acord. Si Gica trebuie sa se mai gandeasca'.
