Hi, I've been playing on this server for some months now and I noticed the extreme failage in horde BGs.
So, for you horde nubs who dont know how to play this game, here's a little guide with some interresting extra tips that will make BGs more enjoyable than they ever were.

---------------

Arathi Basin

The goal is to control locations on the map "Resource Nodes". While a node is controlled, it generates resources for your side, and the first side to gain 1,600 resources wins the contest.

Basic Rules Edit Basic Rules sectionEdit

- Each side has up to 15 players.
- There are five Resource Nodes on the map: the Farm, the Stables (ST or sometimes called stabs or SB), the Blacksmith (BS), the Lumber Mill (LM), and the Gold Mine (GM).
- A node only earns resources when it is captured (see below). With the exception of strategic value, there is no difference between the nodes in terms of resource production.
- The rate of resource accumulation increases non-linearly as more nodes are captured. That is, if a side owns 2 nodes, it will not accumulate resources 2x as fast as when it only has 1 node.

Warsong Gulch

The object of the game is to capture the enemy team's flag, while defending your own against capture.
The game ends when one team has scored 3 captures, or after 25 minutes. After that time, the team with the most flag captures wins.
Each team has one flag in their flag room. Players see the enemy's flag as a clickable object. Clicking on it causes the player to pick it up instantly. To score a capture, the capturing team must have their own flag at its base, and bring the enemy's flag to that same spot. If both flags are being carried, neither team can complete a capture. After a capture, both flags will reset to their original locations after 20 seconds. When the flag is dropped, it becomes a clickable object where it was dropped. A capturing team member can pick it up again and keep running, but the player who dropped it will not be able to personally pick it up again for 3 seconds. Or, a defending team member can click on it and it will instantly teleport back to their base (this is called "returning" the flag). If no player picks up or returns the flag for about five seconds, it will return itself.

Eye of the Storm

- Players start in a bubble for the first minute, isolated from the rest of the battleground (similar to other battlegrounds).
- Horde and Alliance teams of up to 15 players compete to control the four towers spread throughout Eye of the Storm and capture flags.
- First faction to collect 1600 points wins.
- Unlike Arathi Basin, points are always generated every second, no matter how many towers are controlled by both teams.
- Each claimed tower generates victory points for the controlling team. The more towers your team owns, the faster your team gains points
- 1 tower controlled = 1 point/second
- 2 towers controlled = 2 points/second
- 3 towers controlled = 5 points/second
- 4 towers controlled = 10 points/second

Grab flag in center and run it to one of the towers owned by your faction. Points are earned per flag capture when flag is brought to a tower controlled by the player's faction. The points received for capturing the flag depends on the number of towers controlled by your faction.

Points from flag captures

- 1 towers controlled = 75 points
- 2 towers controlled = 85 points
- 3 towers controlled = 100 points
- 4 towers controlled = 500 points

Alterac Valley

The goal of Alterac Valley is to reduce the opposing faction's reinforcement count to 0. Each team starts with 600 reinforcements. There are a number of ways to reduce reinforcements, named below, but killing the enemy General does it instantly. Other activities which reduce reinforcement points include killing enemy players, capturing towers/bunkers, and killing the enemy captain.

The two generals are raid-level bosses that can be found in their fortresses at the two ends of the map — Vanndar Stormpike ("Vann") for the Alliance north, Drek'Thar ("Drek") for the Horde south. About 15 players need to work together in order to bring one of the generals down. A rather elaborate system of NPCs, fortifications and graveyards fills the map between the generals.

Both sides can just rush the enemy buildings and burn them ASAP, and then kill the enemy general.

Ways to decrease the enemys reinforcements:
- The enemy Captain can be killed. This will award your entire team bonus honor and reduce the enemy reinforcements by 100.
- The enemy towers/bunkers can be burned. This awards your team bonus honor, and reduces the enemy reinforcements by 75 per tower. There are four towers per side, for a total of 300 reinforcements. These structures are also important because, if they are lost, your team loses the respective Warmaster (H)/ Marshall (A).
- Enemy graveyards can be captured, giving your team another place to resurrect. Note that each team controls one uncapturable graveyard, their starting cave.
- Your three Wing Commanders (held in enemy territory) can be freed and sent running home. They award your team bonus honor and offer a turn-in quest once they reach your home base. - Note: "Secondary Objectives" on the in-game scoreboard refer to Wing Commanders and nothing else.
- The two mines can be captured by eliminating the enemy boss in the mine. A mine gives back one reinforcement every 45 seconds. - Note: this is merely a token gain, as reinforcements are usually lost at 10-20 times that rate.
- Killing enemy players - This will reduce enemy reinforcement by one per player killed.

The primary bases are Dun Baldar for the Alliance and Frostwolf Village for the Horde. (they must be protected at any cost!!)
