Reduce lag/increase FPS ???

how to reduce lag or increase FPS in cataclysm raids?? especially in 25 man raids my FPS drop to 4-5 FPS and its toooooooo low to do instance normally.Many times kicked from raids due to that problem.

first i thought its my internet problem but its not. even i upgrade my internet to 4MB. same problem.i also lower my Vedio settings.

My system i:


CORE i5
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M (1 gb)

Any working way to get rid of that problem???

From what i see You have more powerfull machine than I do and i have around 25-35 fps in 25-mans at max details. It can be addons problem (they can decrease game performance very much). Try to disable some addons and maybe update directx and graphic card drivers to latest versions.

More like disable ALL addons and try them out one by one. If you have recount for 4.2.x or 4.3.x then delete it and download a 4.1.0a_release version of the addon.

These macros helped my friend get her FPS increase from 15 to 25. I hope they'll help you too if you're not havin' addon problems.

I don't know if this will help you , but it seemed to work in some cases.

For all player with low FPS or high MS, this is something that might help.

I made three macros that will set the game to the "lowest settings" existing.


Log in
Type "/ m" in chat (OFC without "quotes")
Create 3 new macros.

First
Code:
/ console FFX 0
/ console hwPCF 1
/ console shadowlod 0
/ console timingmethod 1
/ console showshadow 0
/ console showfootprints 0
/ console showfootprintparticles 0

Second

And now the most important:

If you have a dual-core processor add in the first macro:

If you have a tri-core processor add in the first macro:

If you have a quad-core add in the first macro:

Now put them in order on the action bar and press them in order , first to third.
After doing this I would recommend to download and install Game Booster (I hope this is not considered advertising or something ...)

ABC = value in MB's of your videocard.
Example: If you videocard 256 Mb => / console gxtexturecachesize 256.
