Frost Armor has been reworked:

It now reduces physical damage taken by 15%, instead of providing 20% additional armor.
The Chilled proc from Frost Armor can no longer proc Fingers of Frost.
The attack speed slow from the Chilled proc is now 20%, down from 25%, but it also affects ranged attack speed.
Frost Armor also no longer increases Frost resistance.

I wasn't quite sure if anyone has said this, but you can have 2 frostorbs out at once.

IE: Cast the first one, use cold snap, then cast the 2nd one.

For those who did not know, frostfire orbs can proc Fingers of Frost and Brain Freeze. Each frostorb can hit up to 15 times each, with 2 out that gives u about 30 hits in 15 seconds. And if anyone has played a frost mage; they know that frostfire orb procs fingers of frost and brain freeze a lot; with just one.

With two, you are talking about a whole new world of icelance spamming, frostfire spamming, etc etc. Combine this with icy veins/time warp and you'll be pulling 30k dps with instant single target spells for 15-20 seconds.

Talk about OP.

Frostfire Orb – This is hands down your highest damage ability. It’s very important to utilize this spell correctly in order to deal more damage than any other Mage out there. This gives you INSANE procs (both FoF and Brain Freeze). Use this every 60 seconds, if you delay the usage of this, spell you lose TREMENDOUS amounts of damage, it’s more important than anything else damage wise.

I think this comments (one from Xandyn probably best mage in the word) proove that this bug impacts our offensive pressure very much

Patch 4.1. Server is running 4.0.6.

Thats Patch 4.1
So before that Patch it can proc Fingers of Frost. Like in Patch 4.06
But on Freakz Server it cant proc.

OP is right on both cases.
This Frostfire Orb bug kills PvE Frost totally, and gives mages lesser burst on stunswitches.

Another bug, it doesn't even proc Ignite, just like Brain Freeze and Fingers of Frost.

Would be very nice if this bug would be fixed soon since it makes frostmages hardly playable in 2v2 arena with healer. This Frostfire Orb proccs are just too important to be missing.

It would be also nice if the fix would be announced, at least in this thread

Edit: There is also a bug that seems to occur when switching between specs. The Frostfire Orb can neither be found in the spellbook nor be used with a macro :S

As i have seen somebody posted this bug nearly 9 mounths ago. No change.
Mage is uncompetitive with disc priest for top ranks. There are some priest -mage setups in top 10 all playing shadow. Its a 70-100 k dd lose every 1 minute.
But it seems they don't care too much.

Yep mage has this bug till 4,1 when it has hot fixed, so the missing proc is not on issue in 4,06.
Thanks for the information i have heard about it but i know now its true.
The missing FoF proc from Frostfire Orb and Frost Armor is still an issue.

kindly fix this.. as frost mages are not entirely but quite useles like this.. we cant compete to other damage burst classes.. and no burst = no dead healer in 2s.. as healing in 2s is op already
