connection problems

im in US , my internet connection is 10 Mbs . using speedtest to a romanian server i get 8 mbs download and 0.9 mbs upload, also i tried in 5 other private servers and my pin was never over 200 in any random server..

.. my problem is that i cant stay connected for more than 3 min in wowfrealz , anyone knows WHY?


the problem is worse in bgs or in any pvp (even duels) upon BG start or duel start ill disconnect (connection to server will drop out : 100% packets lost) .. when IM NOT doing pvp i can stay connected at MOST 5 mins before i dc/lagout


my ingame MS indicator rarely shows ovr 200 ms.. even right before i DC.. it normally goes like:

-connect
-100-190 ms
-lagspike (game freeze) for 2-10 secs
-still +- 190 ms
-lagspike/freeze for 2-10 secs
-normal play
-lagspike/freeze till DC (2-120 secs)
-disconnect


is IMPOSSIBLE for me to do any BG / raid / anything , this server became UNPLAYABLE (i got no issue in the other 5 private servers i got accounts on)


PS: i use 4 different wow installations (almost every server got a diferent wow "install") . to connect to freakz i use the same freakz version i been using for the last 12 months , never had this problem before

What changed since your game was working fine ?
Things like addons are also important or a change to your computer.

Raster this issue is also true for other foregin players. Many ppl from Poland has the same problems from time to time.

For example we (me and my GF) connect to the server via fast and stable connection but still we have lag spikes upto 3k+ ms and freezes.
Sometimes we can survive this state and we don't have dc's while all of our guildmates having them but most of the cases we have dc too.
You can see on the webpage that the server is up but there are usually c.a. 250 - 400 ppl less then were before the dc.

When we try to log in back it looks like the times server was under ddos but avg. waiting time and chance to reconnect are better than those days.

nothing changed , i havent touched realmlist or addon list in the last 3 or mebe 4 months , i havent even created any new char in the last 6 months.


changes to my computer?

-reinstaled skirym / starcraft 2
-several windows updates (from the windows update tool)

still using same internet provider / cables / router / swicth and net card since last year

PS: only thing that "could" cause any issues on my PC may be the ethernet card update (driver update) .. but that was done about 2 months ago. this problem started 4 days ago

MS indicator shows 201 ms BUT ingame i get 3-20 sec game freezes , happens 2-4 times before i finally DC

started playing in ******-wow , same patch (they got a LOT LOT LOT more bugs and broken quests) but i can play for 4-9 hrs in a row w/o getting dced.. so im pretty sure it is NOT my computer or my ISP

asking on the other server forums they said that is likely the way wowfreaks connect to my country (US) sub nets , likely that is what is causing issues , can be solved by contacting the server's ISP .. likely not gonna happen and they advised me to change servers lol

anyways , hope that the issue solves itself , ill wont even try to connect this week to see if next sunday is fixed. cyas

11 days after and still having the same issue..

cant this be fixed? is the ONLY server i have thos p[roblem , monster wow plays ok , magic wow runs great , even molten wow goes better than freakz atm , still getting spikes up to 90k ms and 2-10 sec lag spikes ( even if displayed ms is under 200 ms)

getting all my connections timing out at

tried with all the alternate logins .. and ALL were timing out in that mediasat server





can we have a list of IPs to using for our realm list, mebe that could help?

so any suggestions on how to fix this? been waiting 11/12 days already....

This last tracert seems fairly ok, although the previous one is showing some issues.
I will look into this. What I would like to know is if you experience the issue everytime or only at specific hours

most of the times , sometimes it stops for a while but it comes back after 30 - 60 mins . mmm i have noticed that at nigths (US) i DC every 5-10 mins (but i get a lot of "game freezes". i dont know at what time it starts behaving like this since i work in the afternoons and im not home but till 8-9 pm.

short version: it like this all the time, gets worse at nights (US time)


PS: those "connection timeouts" are no issue? cus normaly i have 190-230 ms ingame.. but i have some really long game "freezes" (everyone stops moving, mobs, players, pets even spells and cds) after 10-15 secs they all come togetter (like my pets hitting 5-8 times in the same sec, same with mobs) .. and even after the "game freeze" my ms still shows as +- 200 (some rare cases at nighs i can see it up to 5k+ ms).
