The talent name is Pain and Suffering.

Case #1

Pain and Suffering: 0/2
DMG done to the dummy: 3558
DMG done to me: 2137

3558 - 100%
2137 - x%

x = (2137 * 100%) / 3558
x = 213700% / 3558
x = 60, 061...%
x ~ 60%

It means the damage done to me is equal to 60% of the damage done to the dummy, so we already have damage reduction from SW:D while no talent points are spent.

Case #2

Pain and Suffering: 2/2
DMG done to the dummy: 3558
DMG done to me: 2137

DMG is the same, so look at calculation above.

Case #3

Pain and Suffering: 2/2
DMG done to the dummy: 8676
DMG done to me: 4428

8676 - 100%
4428 - x%

x = (4428 * 100%) / 8676
x = 442800% / 8676
x = 51.037...%
x ~ 51%

This screenshot was taken after changing my spec. It's quite strange, because damage done to me is equal to 51% of the damage done to the dummy, so it's somehow increased than it should be.

Case #4

Pain and Suffering: 0/2
DMG done the the dummy: 3216
DMG done to me: 1931

3216 - 100%
1931 - x%

x = (1931 * 100%) / 3216
x = 193100% / 3216
x = 60.043...%
x ~ 60%

It shows that damage done to a caster isn't equal to DMG done to others. All priests are somehow affected by the dmg reduction from the talent (specced or not).

What boss you were fighting, when you got this 50k dmg? And what was the dmg done to the boss? It does matter.
However I've just proved that everyone has dmg reduction from the talent no matter they spent their talent points in Pain and Suffering or not.

Nu stiu exact ce se intampla,dar are momente cand iei tu dmg mai mare decat tinta ta...mi-am dat 88k in dragon soul ( am 2 piese t 13 pentru cei care comenteaza ceva de priest,care de asemenea reduc si dmg-ul primit cu 95%). Asta se intampla si in pvp,si e stupid daca nu e healerul cu ochii pe tine.

Can anyone prove it? Because everyone say it'is bugged, but nobody brought a proof.
It's not so hard to take a screenshot with a DMG done to you and your target.

The only one who's right is Torrpeda. If you take tremendous damage bring proof and describe exactly hou can we reproduce the bug.

stii de ce are dreptate Torrpeda, Groovy ? pentru ca toti nu ganditi, imi pare rau ca va zic. N-ARE NICIO DREPTATE, TALENTUL NU MERGE. FIINDCA A TESTAT CU RESILIENCE SI NORMAL CA SE IMPLICA SI RESILIENCE SI SHADOWFORM , doamne. incearca sa testezi cu 0 resilience si fara shadwoform sa vezi ca iei dmg (cu talentul de -40% dmg), acelasi dmg cat ai dat cu SW:D . dar lasa ca fac eu POST CALUMEA sa NUMAI SE BAGE TOTI BAGATORII DE SEAMA sa strice priestul. ca toti si-au batut joc , toti nu nu nu nu nu nare buguri. numai lichele

P:S , un mic edit: o sa postez eu toate bug-urile priestului cand am timp calumea cu dovezi, ca m-am enervat si saturat sa tot vina nesimtiti ca TOrrpeda sa posteze fara sa gandeasca, resilience face parte din joc, si scade dmg la sw:d dar ce sa faci, vorbesti inainte sa gandesti. in cazul asta, scrii un post, ceea ce e mai rau, ca ai avut timp sa gandesti garla. daca ar durea prostia...

auzi ce poate sa spuna ca merge -40% dmg reduction fara talent, prin ditamai postul, fara sa gandeasca simplul fapt ca resilience REDUCE ORICE FEL DE DMG LUAT. vai de capu vostru ba astia care va credeti mari wow-isti

At least someone who can say something more than whining, but you don't have to be rude. I'm a human and I have right to make mistakes.
Groovy said I'm right that nobody brings any proof, not there's no bug at all. I'm going to check this once again and post anything I'll find usefull.
