It's been 4 months

Okay, so, ever since the update, all of my characters have stopped having access to the skill points they acquired BEFORE the update. A month or so before the update, my Night-Elf Warrior reached max level, yet ever since the update, the talents icon has been blacked out and when I hover over it, it says that I need to be at least level 10. Also several of my characters' gear has turned invisible. My blood-Elf Mage and Human Rogue both look like they're walking around in their underpants, yet, they are wearing pants, they even get the armorbonus of said pants. Other missing pieces of armor include pauldrons. I just don't get it. Is this still a side effect of the update? I know from experience that getting every piece of code to work is a long and difficult process, but I have hardly been able to play these past 4 months because I somehow feel like I'll be forced to delete my characters and start over from scratch.
Has anyone else had these issues? If so, how did you resolve them? Am I worrying for nothing?

The talent problem can be fixed by visiting your class trainer and resetting talents.
Gear is not invisible, delete your Cache, WTF folders and it should be okay after.
Items have not been deleted, so you should have your items (if not, check https://www.wow-freakz.com/recover_items.php )

There were a lot of side effects when we transferred to 4.3.4 patch, but most of them have been dealt with.

Thank you kindly, my good sir. And as I said, I KNEW my gear was still there. I could see it, my character got the armor points associated with it, yet it just wasn't visible on my characters avatar. It still isn't, but I'm sure that if I were to put another item in that slot, it would be visible. It's probably just a glitch with the data. The Skillpoints did work out though.
So once again thanks for the help. I knew you guys don't do things halfway, that's why it surprised me a little that I had these issues. My apologies for being a nuissance.
