4.3.4 Survival PVE Guide Simplified-English Version

Survival became the best PVE spec for hunters on this patch, always being in top 3 dps in any encounter.

Glyphs :

Prime Glyphs :
-Glyph of Explosive Shot - 6% bonus crit chance, very useful
-Glpyh of Arcane Shot - 12% increase dmg
-Glyph of Kill Shot-The cooldown reset is very useful especially when T.N.T procs, since you can cast Explosive Shot then Kill Shot twice

Major Glyphs :
-Glpyh of Trap Launcher - Halvens the cost of Trap launcher, making it 10 focus
-Glyph of Disengage- Reduces the cooldown, useful for surviving in certain encounters
-Glpyh of Deterence- Reduces the cooldown, useful for surviving in certain encounters

Minor Glyphs :
-Glpyh of Feign Death-- Reduces the cooldown, useful for surviving in certain encounters

Only the prime glyphs are a must, the others are purely optional, however they are still useful

Stats:

Agility->Hit cap 8%->Crit->Haste->Mastery

I personally got enough haste in order to have a cast time of 1,50 on Cobra shot, but if the cast time reaches 1,55 it should be enough

Rotation:

We reached the most important part of the guide, which is the rotation.The rotation depends on certain factors, which are:

1) Having 2 tier pieces

Having 2 tier pieces doubles the amount of Focus generated by Cobra shot/Steady shot.At this moment you can get these set pieces:

The rotation itself:

Hunter's Mark and Serpent Sting once on the boss, then Explosive Shot->Black arrow->Cobra shot->Explosive shot
Soon after using Black Arrow, TNT should proc.When this happens, there are 2 rotations:
a) Boss above 20% hp
Explosive shot->Arcane shot->Explosive shot->Arcane shot
b)Boss under 20% hp
Explosive shot->Kill shot->Explosive shot->Kill shot
Kill shot's cooldown should reset because of the glyph.

2) Without 2 tier pieces

The only difference between the rotations is that in this case we will use Cobra shot more often

The rotation itself:

Hunter's Mark and Serpent Sting once on the boss, then Explosive Shot->Black arrow->Cobra shot->Cobra shot->Explosive shot

T.N.T:
a) Boss above 20% hp
Explosive shot->Cobra Shot->Explosive shot->Arcane shot
b)Boss under 20% hp
Explosive shot->Kill shot->Explosive shot->Kill shot
For AOE we use Explosive Trap and spam Multi Shot

Pets:

Wolf - 5% Crit Chance buff to everybody in your party/raid.Do not use if you have Druid feral/Subjety rogue/Elem shaman/Warrior Fury
Cat - Gives 549 Agility & Strength to everybody in your party/raid .Do not use if you have Warrior/Dk
Wind Serpent-Gives a debuff to the target increasing all the magic damage taken by 8%.

Pet Talents:




Gems:

Meta: Agile Shadowspirit Diamond-54 Agility and 3% increased crit damage
Red:Delicate Queen's Garnet: 50 agility
Blue: Glinting Shadow Spinel: 25 agility 25 hit rating
Yellow: Deadly Lava Coral: 25 agility 25 crit rating

You can also use 4.0.6 gems, which are alot cheaper, but they are worse

This is the macro I am currently using.Berserking is the troll racial, Call of the Wild is a pet talent and Kiroptyric sigil the the Valor points trinket

Did you just copy paste this guide off somewhere or something? The talents aren't fit for freakz since some of them are bugged following this your stats aren't fit for freakz due to the bugged talents

Well this is the PvE spec how it must look , maybe some talents are bugged but whatever . Gave him some credit for the work man.

I wrote it by myself, and putting any points in any talents is pointless, since they offer no benefits in PVE.Most of them work, probably not perfectly, but they still give you something
