There are issues with the Alliance / Horde bonfires, for the desecrate achievements and with the cities bonfires for the king achievement (the pole dancing one being bugged beyond my capabilities). Anyway, we are working of fixing them... also, keep in mind the event just started, so there's plenty of time to fix those.
In the meantime, gather midsummer currency and buy what you want / desire from the event merchants / suppliers or defeat Ahune for that desired transmog item / companion... that will keep you busy for a while, until we fix the other issues.
