vote shop "gear" shown true values.

I recently had the misfortune of spending 100 vote points for an item that was not respesented correctly. and because of a waver on the vote rewards page I was not eligible for a refund or exchange . after careful scrutiny (and 4 hours) I was able to deduce that 97% of all gear over the ilvl of 300 was buffed for MoP expansion.

so my suggestion since we have not been updated to MoP expansion (on any server) anyone that makes a purchase from vote shop where the stats change when they actually get the item should be able to exchange it.

a lot of people that play this game have played before on other servers or even retail. I have not had that privledge . so it would be very easy for someone without the knowledge of knowing what stats an item truly has to make a mistake in purchasing something from vote shop.

yeah I know its there now. although I didn't understand at the time. but I am in the right section this time because I am suggesting something for the betterment of the site and for new players like me.

I havnt voted for 24 hours because of this. and I probably wont vote anymore. 15 days of voting thrown down the drain because of my mistake and the unwillingness of my superiors to understand that it was a mistake. its not worth it anymore. so I will just play the game without voting.

btw this server is awesome!

I dont really understand. Do you need the item for transmog or what? I'm sure they can add stats to the item if thats the issue.

no I know that what I got is what I have to keep I was already told that. but it would be rude of us to let it keep happening. so its only my suggestion that if someone does make the mistake of buying something that changes from what they paid for to atleast exchange it

build another database with all the avaible gear is senseless.

oh and btw, you should know that a 359 item could never be better than a 378 item, so next time be careful

vote point gear is mostly for transmog purpose

Hes talking about a refund policy probably , in the case you've made a mistake and purchased the wrong item , he wants the option to get his vote points back , or the item he really wanted.
My suggestion is research before you buy and item with vp , if you really want that item for the stats it wears.

thank you guys for your input. im not sure what transmog is , but im pretty sure its important somehow. and thank you again for atleast opening up a discussion about it.

you see you guys have had the pleasure of know what gear is best and what the original stats were. the research I did was of course off of wowhead so all I saw was a strong weapon.

im not asking to recode an entire D-base im just asking that if someone were to make a mistake that the powers that be be more understanding when considering a refund or an exchange.

We don't exchange your item because you can see that on that page is written big red and clear that the tooltip might not be the real one and also you can just follow the logic that a 359 ilvl item cannot have higher stats/damage than something that has a bigger ilvl.
Also, there is no way we'll change the database that handles the tooltips.
