Why do we receive so little valor points per rdf and raid boss kill?

Myself and some others also addressed this issue and the answer was very simple: if you would get the full amount, you would be capped in no time at all. Which would make the gearing progress super quick (especially since the lowered costs of valor items is implemented; i think this was a 5.4.x update). They wanted to prevent this and therefor the amount of valor points is lowered.

Since they will be in phase 1 for some time, you can easily get the gear you want and if you just upgrade ilvl 496 or BiS gear, you're completely fine.

but this is too slow..theres no chance of buying valor items for new players sooner than 2 weeks after farming RDF HC ..and getting VP cap through rdf with 20vp gains is kinda hard

You also have all raid difficulties open so you can get valor from all of them. Remember that on blizz you could do only 1 raid difficulty per week.

and u think someone will take new players to pug raids? with no gear at all? or do u mean like i can farm VP in old raids?

No, i mean actual MoP raids. You can anytime join a guild and do raids with a group.

That's why I said to join a guild. You can find there fine people who can help you gear up pre-raiding so you could raid with them. Most pugs on freakz, from my experience, even doe they ask >480ilvl are fail from the beginning becouse many players have gear but they are really bad.

People are rather ignorant. They ask 'retarded' ilvl for rather simple raids (MSV is literally an entry raid-lvl thing that tests some basic communication and mechanics). I always say people that PUG ask +10-20 ilvl to compensate mistakes and bad skills. This holds truth for MSV (should be around 470 instead of 480-485), ToES (should be around 480? instead of 490-495) and the older raids back in the Cataclysm days.

About the guild thing; it is a viable idea, but pick your guild wisely. There are plenty of guilds that raid MSV10n / ToES10n, but out of the 10 spots 7-9 are mostly reserved for something like a 'core group' / 'friends'. Getting in these groups is very difficult and requires you to basically kiss *** so they let you join. And then they still ask 480 ilvl for MSV.

Atleast reduce the cost of valor points items.. gearing up on this server is totaly retarded, farming 6 hours for *** 200 valor points

The amount of valor points that you can get on freakz is double the amount you could get on live servers. Here you get twice less valors per boss kill, but you can clear bosses on four difficulties compared to only one clear on retail. I myself am an altoholic but I believe the valor system is fair enough.

We have done this "fix" because some of the items that can be purchased with VP have their prices reduced. We cannot modify that price so instead we lowered the gain.
After advancing through the Dev Plan we will modify the gain to normal values.
