1. Having a bit of difficulty with addons.

They're not displaying in Interface>Addons in-game and there's no 'addons screen' on the character selection screen where you'd normally select 'load out of date addons'. Yes, they've been correctly extracted to the Interface>Addons folder.

If I have to re-download another 27.5Gb, I'll be shot (metaphorically speaking).

2. Unless it has something to do with my confusion about downloading the game on Freakz.

There's "Download WoW 5.4.8" and then there's "Download Launcher" right underneath it - and then there's Dreadblade's guide here: https://forum.wow-freakz.com/EN-Mists-of-Pandaria-Installation-Guide-t359855.html - which I followed - after I'd downloaded from the other two links because I didn't see his guide until later.

As a result, I now have two wow.exe's, neither one of which is labelled 'launcher' and neither one of which loads the addons I downloaded (including BlizzardUI Default Addons).

Both of them also start downloading all over again when I log into the game - that shouldn't be happening, should it?

Have read all the troubleshooting suggestions Dreadblade gave players in his guide and I've done everything he advised them to do (except download all over again) - to no avail.

If anyone has the patience to advise where I've gone wrong, I'd be deeply appreciative.

Hi and thank you very much.

Took 4 screenshots because there's 2 x exe's and I'm confused by them (although the addons went into the exe that's in the 'freakz' folder).

You have to put your addons into Interface/Addons in main, Wow 5.4.8 folder. Delete wow_freakz folder from WoW 5.4.8 folder.

Do it this way:

Quote:

  • Download our launcher from this link: https://www.wow-freakz.com/wow/548/wow_freakz.zip
  • When the download is complete, open the file with a program such as WinRAR or 7zip (you won't need those programs on Windows 7 / 8 / 10)
  • Extract all the files to any place, such as your Desktop. Then copy those files to your WoW folder. For example D:\Games\Mists of Pandaria (or you could simply extract the files to your WoW folder directly)
  • Replace all files if you're asked to.

I mean you have to copy content(not whole wow_freakz folder like you did) of wow_freakz.zip (after extracting of course) to your WoW 5.4.8 folder.

Thanks, sheLbyPL. Could have sworn I'd done that, but perhaps I hadn't.

In any event, it's done now. It hasn't changed anything, though. Still no addons and no way to "load out of date addons".

Might have to take a break from this for now before it drives me nuts.

Thank you very much for your time.

Don't give up, try this:

1. Delete the Interface, Cache and WTF folder.
2. Start wow. Log in to the server. Enter world.
3. Close wow.
4. New interface folder will be created automatically (if not create one and create AddOns folder in it).
5. Extract your addons to addons folder.
6. Start wow again and check if it works.
