Cleaning Database

I propose to make a cleaning regarding the forgotten , old or inactive (for centuryes) : conts , characters , guilds from the wow database .

Indeed i also think a cleanup of the Freakz server database would be nice since there's thousands of old inactive character names.

Greetings, it would be a great idea, but i think Shockeru and all admins are busy in this period, you know, next Phase could take 1-2 months to be 100% complete, maybe after this he could do that, If he thinks that is really needed for this.

I'd like to do that too, but there are many players who return every now and then... and for them to see their characters/accounts got deleted wouldn't be too cool, they would probably quit the server

You could filter everything so that all the characters with, for example, less than 5 days played and more than 100/200 (w/ever) days of inactivity, could be removed.

I would suggest it would not be good choice...I give my personal experience...my guildies are logging back after 1 year...as they were busy with their life...now they are appearing back for fun...if they find their character delete etc....it would give bad impression towards server.

There's no agony if they see their characters deleted, it was their choice not playing the game anymore. And if they enjoyed playing here they'll rather make a fresh character if they got no character left than searching for a new community. *winkle*

I can't agree with you Snoopy. Most players would quit if they find out they're character was deleted even if they were inactive for an year.

But what if you only delete characters that have less than 10 days. i've seen so many characters with less than a couple of minutes of playing, and those people are playing new characters.

Idk man,i returned to freakz after 3-4 years of inactivity,if i found my character deleted i wouldn't start again.
