Bug description: Chaos Bolt uses 3 stacks of Backdraft if you have them, but if you don't(eg after casting 1 Incinerate and you have 2 stacks only), your Chaos Bolt will still benefit from Backdraft and it won't consume any charges.

0:50 is where CB doesn't consume Backdraft.

As stated, Backdraft can have a maximum of 6 charges. If you have less than 3 charges of Backdraft, your Chaos Bolt will be unaffected and have its normal mana cost and cast speed. (wowhead link)

Incinerate uses ONE stack of backdraft and chaos bolt uses THREE stacks of backdraft and you get THREE stacks per. conflag.

Go to 11:45 for his rotation and after he casts 4 Incinerates, he has 2 Backdraft up and he does 2 CB with max casting speed.

This is due to how procs are consumed. Atm they are consumed when they reach their target. There is a topic already and i think this shouldn't be threaten differently from molten core procs, starsurge etc.

Uhm, but I did Incinerate, the proc was consumed and CB still benefits from it.
If for example I was to cast Incinerate and immediately after cast CB to "abuse" it, then yes, what you said is valid. But considering I let a few seconds pass after I used a stack of Backdraft, this is different.

I'm telling you, till they don't fix that there is no hope for chaos bolt otherwise maybe they will break backdraft+chaos bolt.

I'll give you that and let's take an example and I bet there are more just like you said:

The buff is consumed AFTER the spell hits the target. Just like Arcane Mages with Arcane Barrage and Arcane Charges. If you cast Arcane Blast while Barrage is traveling, your Blast will use the 4 Charges and have huge mana cost. So you have to wait for Barrage to hit the target and only then cast Blast.

For the Warlock, if the only bug was the Cast Handling, that means that after Incinerate landed on the target and consumed 1 stack of Backdraft, Chaos Bolt should be at full cast time. The only time CB would be at lower cast(aka benefit from 3 stacks of Backdraft) would be while Incinerate is in the air.
BUT, here after you Incinerate and have less than 3 stacks of Backdraft, your Chaos Bolt STILL has a lower cast time. Cast Incinerate again and have only 1 stack of Backdraft and Chaos Bolt STILL has a lower cast time.
This is the bug I am reporting.
