Bug description: Refreshing Renew with Chakra: Serenity refreshes the duration to the glyphed & hasted duration. The duration should be refreshed to the unglyphed duration, while benefiting from the glyph and breakpoint bonuses.

In addition the remaining tick from refreshing the active HoT is added inconsistently. If I cast renew on a target twice (refreshing it to original duration + 1 tick), then refreshing with Chakra:Serenity results in the original +1 tick duration, however if I only cast renew on a target once the tick from refreshing it is not added to the duration upon refresh.
The remaining one tick from the previous renew should always be added to the refreshed duration.

Regarding this, I see the problem is refreshing between remaining 8 and 10 seconds. I managed to refresh it to 12 secs for 5 times casting between 8 and 10. If I refresh it at 11 seconds or under 8 (5, 7) it adds the extra tick at the first Renew, almost all the time. I've had a hick up at 4 seconds, but after trying again at 4 it worked. All tests were done with only 1 refreshing Renew.

Has no relation to Chakra. Chakra takes the full duration it sees, so if the refresh bugs, Chakra takes it bugged. If it works ok, then it refreshes as intended.


One thing though, if with Glyph you have 9 seconds and Chakra should refresh to full duration which is 12, it means that after a Chakra refresh the buff should show 12 seconds or still 9 but with 12 seconds of heal?
What I find weird is if Chakra refreshes to full duration even with glyph, what's the point of the 3 second penalty for the extra healing? You're just bypassing the glyph downside and use only the benefit.

Glyphed renew should always be refreshed to the unglyphed duration, but it retains the 33% healing improvement. So after refreshing the duration remaining on renew should be 12 seconds + whatever the added tick for refreshing it adds to the duration.

Why it works this way? I don't know, but it wasn't a bug seeing as the interaction wasn't changed.

But you do see my scepticism regarding this? I mean you're bypassing the downside of the glyph and use only the benefit... I will look more into this.

The mmo champion quote in the OP is from jhazrun, the disc priest from paragon (world first t14, t15 & t16 in 10 heroic). It's the best proof that I could find.

Oh you're right, I assumed it was just an issue with the buff display, but the priest in the first video doesn't have the glyph.

Confirmed.

Chakra: Serenity should refresh Renew to normal duration if you have the glyph that reduces the uptime of Renew on the target while also benefiting from the glyph's HoT increase.
