Guardian stats

Hey guys,i started to play druid when mop was launched on freakz.Resto is my main spec but now i have some items to go with a guardian offspec.

After checking some guides about guardian tank(including the one on freakz) i saw the main stats are hit,expertise>crit>haste>mastery.On freakz guide says expertise is bugged and there is no point having that stats.But every single guardian druid with 520+ ilvl i saw they had only stamina blue gems,reforge hit 7.5% and the full mastery and river's song enchant.My offspec guardian has hit,expertise capped,crit 50% and mastery 40% and 750k hp.

So my question is: I should change my gems,enchant and reforge to what i mentioned above or i should keep trying to hit crit cap?

Expertise - i still think its bugged, my hits get dodged/parried or blocked 1 out of 50 lets say, thats small chance which im willing to take

Our https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=62606 is working so good that there is no need for extra dodge. That dodge is also affected by diminishing return so its not worthy. Untill crit cap i would recommend you to go with dancing steel. After you reached cap, you can swap to Windsong and go over cap.

Stamina - is always good, but i would never recommend to go full stamina stacker. You will have enough stamina from the items.

Mastery grants an additional 2% armor per point of mastery. When people see it they proly go like "OMG this is gonna reduce my dmg taken i better stack as much as possible". Mastery is good i agree. Its gonna smoothen your dmg intake but at what cost. Your rage generation wont be so great, you will even loose a bit of healing and damage done. I tried mastery build before i swapped to crit long ago. The build you see in every guide is overall better. Maybe its because of my playstyle but my dmg intake reduced a lot with more crit. With new t16 set bonuses, you can have savage defense 100% of a time. Its not a big deal if you take a big hit here and there, its still worth because all the other stuff you can do.

I like crit build too,makes the life of healers much easier,but i didnt understood why all druids i've saw on our server only stacked stamina,dogdge and mastery.Almost no haste or critical.With my stamina i feel confortable,my heals have a decent proc rate and rage generation is ok.Maybe in the future days ill try that build w/o crit,but few self heals and low rage generation doesnt sounds too nice.

I dont know, maybe they live in the past. What i do know is that crit guardian outperforms mastery guardian in every aspect. You are welcome to try it, its nice to know more aspects of the game, but its not just about rage generation.

In the early stages of MoP, when my guild was progressing in Mogu'shan Vaults, i used to have a mastery + stam build because that felt way more secure than anything else and crit was no near enough to get it to a decent number. At this stage of the MoP with all the gear available i'd say that for SoO N tanking it should be like this: ilvl less than 530 go stam, hotw, stam trinks; over 530 ilvl get rid of the stam, get crit + DoC and have fun. Because it's really fun when you get to outheal most of the rdf healers.
