Diminishing returns: abbreviated DR,[1] means that certain spells and abilities are less effective against player characters if they are used frequently within a short period of time.

Bug description: Stuns or CC of the same category physical/magic are overwritten and already affected by DR.
This means that in a rbg or mass pvp scenario a target attacked by multiple enemies could be immune to CC in a short period of time because the first CC is removed, overwritten and the following CCs are already affected by DR.

The second stun of the same category; overwrites the 1st stun and applies DR:

My stun: kidney shot + revealing strike https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=84617&&name=revealing-strike: 9 seconds stun


The second kidney shot: overwrites the 9 second stun and applies DR: a 9 seconds stun is removed. a 3rd stun would make target immune. all that in just two seconds.


Proof: The first CC should have full duration and should not be overwritten by the next ones of the same category. DR should be applied when the duration of the first CC ends or if it's removed by pvp trinket or dispelled.
''When a spell with diminishing returns is used against a target in PvP, the first effect has full duration. The effect then diminishes by 50%, then 75%, then the target becomes immune. Spells must be used on the same target within 15 seconds of the *end* of the duration in order to be diminished. In other words, if a target hasn't had a stun effect active on them for more than 15 seconds, the next stun will have full effect.''

There's a single thing that's wrong with dr right now: It's duration is 15 instead of 18 s.

and this part doesn't work... somehow i can be in a rogue's stunlock or silence for about 15-20sec without any problems.

I don;t get a thing, for example you poli a someone the dr is 18 sec then withing this period of time you poli again with 10 seconds left, the dr for poli is reset to 18 sec or it last for the 8 sec remaining

What should happen if a target is stunned and you try to apply another stun? The second one should be ignored? Should be placed instead but with no dr? Should there be a message warning players: There is a much more powerful spell already applied? If the new stun spell also do damage?
