New player question

Hello, i am a former Cataclysm player on this server(played since the beginning of the patch and up to the point where there were 5/8 DS boss implemented) and now i want to make a comeback.Could you please tell me what are the main differences between the patches and maybe help me with some tips?Also, what are the top classes for pve?

the differences are now that every class spec is viable, most work, and there are fewer more OP than others, so overall it's more balanced
few new spells and modified talent tree

for PVE as mentioned above, if you play it well, all are good
