Bug description: chaos school spells (touch of chaos, chaos wave,etc) should pierce through dk's antimagic shell.
Proof:

i hit dk with touch of chaos into antimagic shell and damage was absorbed by it

I believe server is calculating CHAOS damage as only magic damage but its a mix of fire, frost,shadow and PHYSICAL.... Upto my knowledge ,Demo metamorphosis is more like a caster warrior....And when it comes to determining the school of damage, chaos is simply interpreted as that damage that would be most effective against the target .
Hence against a DK with anti-magic shell , it should count as physical damage and donot get absorbed but instead damage through it ... Thats the reason it is listed as Chaos damage but not magic exclusively..
When calculating damage, it goes with the school of Magic that will deal the most damage that spell is capable of producing.


For example, if you cast a Fel Flame (Fire/Shadow damage) at someone with Shadow Resistance, it will go with the Fire damage instead.
As Chaos is Fire, Shadow, Frost, Arcane, Holy, Physical and Nature all in one, it will just go with whichever will deal the most damage and be labeled as Chaos.

Chaos damage can only be absorbed by those effects that are listed as simply "Absorbs X damage".

Not just Anti-magic shell but Spells such as Touch of chaos modified by metamorphosis should be effective against lock's twilight ward also...

P.S: Fixing this will really balance out DK domination against casters atm, cuz Demo in meta should literally destroy Dks and locks with twilight ward should not absorb chaos damage as well!

I can confirm this. The same happens with Cloak Of Shadows.

Not only for pvp, some bosses are inmune to all magic effects and only melee and Chaos From Demonology are useful against those bosses. It should be tested soon.

And YES IT SHOULD PIERCE AMS and other shields like Hand of Protection, Cloak of shadows, Dk Mastery.
And NO IT SHOULD NOT PIERCE Inmunities, like ice block, divine shield (those are inmune to everything). Spells that reduce damage by % (flat damage no matter the school of damage) also work against chaos damage.

Indeed, take a look here, from min 3:55. In the video, there should be numbers around 14k, that's his touch of chaos, also if you look a bit more, you can see that even after dk ams is down, he still does 14k damage with it.
