Migrating to the server

Hello everyone!

I'm thinking about trying MoP because of DodgyKebaabs videos, but at the moment, I'm playing on Dalaran-wow, so my knowledge of how Mists functions is almost non-existent, except watching raid bosses world first kills.
I want your opinions, how hard is it to adapt coming from Wrath, is it worth playing/moving to this server, which classes are most viable in every role etc. I mained a FF mage and a prot paladin in WotLK, so I'd like to know how changed they are and are they still as good.

Hello there and welcome.

The game itself evolved a lot since WotLK. Many things have changes, but its definitely worth trying this expansion and the server as well, since MoP is an amazing expansion and it has really a lot of things to offer, and we ensured that most things are working for greater pleasure. Even tho a lot has changes, it's still WoW, you should be able to adapt with out any trouble. I'd say that MoP is a really well balanced expansion coming from Blizzard. Any spec can perform outstanding in the hands of a good player. I can say that prot paladins and mages are in a really good spot at the moment.

So, in order for my transfer to work my characters need to be level 80, and they will be removed from the previous server afterwards?
Also, as far as I understood, I can choose whichever class I want here, as long as I had a max level character on the previous server?
Do i get one profession per character or one in total?

Sorry for all the questions, I put a lot of time (2 years) in the Wrath server, I don't want to lose that irreversibly.

No, your characters will remain on the server you played before.
