Bug description: if you are horde you cant start this quest because the mob only will drop the alliance version of Mezhen's Writings https://www.wow-freakz.com/item_finder.php?item=34090 and not the horde version https://www.wow-freakz.com/item_finder.php?item=34091&&name=mezhen-s-writings

Proof: as proof you only need to check the drop rate https://www.wow-freakz.com/npc_finder.php?npc=24018&&name=necro-overlord-mezhen

Alliance 100% https://www.wow-freakz.com/item_finder.php?item=34090&&name=mezhen-s-writings

Horde 50% https://www.wow-freakz.com/item_finder.php?item=34091&&name=mezhen-s-writings

that way you only get the alliance version because only 1 quest item per drop

Edit: Already try with and without the alliance item version in the inventory to force the drop of the items for the horde and dont work, so pls fix the drop chance.

Fixed, right now you don't need any quest to be able to loot it.

Also fixed the quest (there was no script, no dialogues, lich king etc)
