Need help with classes please

Hello all! I am returning after a long break and wanna start from scratch.
I'm not asking for "the best" class. I want to know if there are any classes that are more or less broken (in either a good or bad way) in their role, due to some developing errors, cause I dont wanna go with a class and when it comes to endgame, to be like "What the heck! Compared to others, I suck, but I do nothing wrong!"
I am asking for both pvp and pve, cause i intend to do both, so an advice regarding both views will be higly appreciated.

Hello and welcome back!
On topic: Classes are fairly balanced and work as intended (with a few bugs here and there), but nothing game breaking.
My advice would be to go with what you like the most.
