I am currently having the same issue and went as far as downloading everything over again, to end up with the same error on two different computers.
I will try to reboot my router tonight and keep you posted as to whether it fixed anything or not.

Quick update:

-Routeur rebooted; not working.
-Firewall deactivated; not working.
-DMZ on computer; not working.

Aside from trying from another network - which I could try out tomorrow if I must, but doubt will have any effect, I'm at a loss.

@fabiantm, any luck on your side?

There should be. Launch wow, login, exit wow, check log.

If still empty, search using windows search, may be somewhere else (desktop, etc)

Whether I launch WoW.exe or the Launcher, it will give me the same error.

Is there any "location" requirement for the folder? It's currently sitting at the top of my C:\ folder, just like the MoP folder.

By the way don't know if it's linked but it seems like I can't contact eu.battle.net at all from the problematic computer. any leads? Just found out...

I did not ignore your post, as I said, if I launch wow.exe I get the same error message, meaning wow won't even launch properly. This is not an error message I get after trying to log or anything. Wow.exe will appear in Task Manager as if trying to launch itself, then timeouts and gives me this error message.

What I mean is that if I try to go to eu.battle.net the webpage won't even load. us.battle.net seems to work fine tho.

Oh ok, sorry, I misunderstood. Let's try something else. Click start / run, write cmd, press enter. Then do these 2 commands:
