What do I need to know before getting back ?

So I plan on getting back into wow, what do I need to know ?
I can see that in 15'th the legion realm will be released. What is the save char. name for ?
I already have a account that I didn't login for a long time and I would like to continue playing on that, should I download the MOP client and login ?
Will they delete the old characters that weren't active for a certain amount of time ?
Can I download the legion client now ? will it be the same client when legion launches ?

No. Mop will remain as it is and work / development of it will be continued at the moment. Legion will be a separat realm / requires specific client.

I want to ensure you that every ban is always followed by a proper reason. If you wake up in a situation where your account is banned, feel free to make a proper post under Unban Request.
Do not forget to bring the necessary evidence to appeal GMs decision.
