Bug description: It's only a visual bug. The absorb you're putting on the respective mob, is shown on you, or the entire party in case you're in one. It's very tricky, because all the time i think we have absorb on us, but we still take damage.

When you cast Smite on the target, the TARGET will get a debuff, that makes him hit less to YOU.

Ok.I'll explain it better.
When you smite, the mob gets a debuff that says that the next damage he deals it's absorbed. That's normal. What's not normal, is that it's shown like an absrob on YOUR health bar, or the party's.

Made it so that it appears only the caster, at least. Not full fix, but as of now it's low priority / visual bug
