Like the title says , what spec will you play in Legion ?


Personally i will be maining Enhancement while playing Restoration occasionally.

Yeah well before 7.1.5 Enhancement was much better than elemental , so im kinda sad we're starting right off with that patch , should still be fineeee.

@Ash , yeah they made alot of cool changes to make it less no-brainer ( Chain + Healing Rain ) , some talents really change the gameplay completly ☺.

Elemental is not better, it's now on the same level as enha. Not to mention that the melee spec was just crazy op before the nerf. Unless its a fight like krosus or chronomatic anomaly, where most of the time all you do is go left, right then soak a puddle or drop a bomb, your dmg output is really not that great as lightning bolt is no longer castable while moving. However, their versatility in terms of gameplay through the 3 different builds is pretty impressive. Sadly the shaman is nowhere near the top in terms of DPS, compared to other classes.

I main a resto, soon finishing 54 traits on elemental offspec, too. I find the spec to be quite easy to play, even though there is a great range of choices in terms of talents for each and every encounter. It's straight-forward, little rng, great healing output, playable equally well in both raids and high level m+'s. Tank healing is absolute shit, but that's what the paladins are there for.

Yes on single target enhancement is probably even better not equal to elemental , but what Denim was probably trying to say is that elemental as a spec is much better especially in Nighthold with all the cleave / aoe fights that are present , they are also more sought after and i noticed that many shamans also switched from enhancement to elemental . And yeah , pre 7.1.5 you could say enhancement was in the top 3 but now they aren't really topping the charts except in extreme cases of rng with Stormbringer ( elemental can still manage to achieve that in some fights )

Some thoughts about pvp? I know that only elem is viable in 3v3 with specific classes bcs of RNG Artifact, in rest at 2v2 they are kinda trash on all 3 specs compare with the other classes.

We need to expect some powerful RNG in the next patches..i saw in every expension that shaman is good only in the last patch..

Enhancement was REALLY REALLY REALLY strong in season 1 , hence why it even won blizzcon , unfortunately it got targeted by devs , its not completly dead but no one plays it in PvP anymore kinda , you're right Elemental is kinda the only option if you check the ladder right now and even top Enhancement PvPers changed to Elemental.... Restoration is still really good.

TL;DR : Avoid Enhancement if we'll be on 7.1.5 , Elemental is much better but keep mind all this might change with the pvp sets and possible changes in 7.2 soon™.

Resto is very powerful due to the strong pvp talent tree. Transitioning from 7.1.0 to 7.1.5 brought some nerfs and chages to the talent tree due to it being way too good. However it is still viable and, God, that 3s potential is sweet .

Is good but compare to monk or hpala which will be the most played class as healers in 7.1.5

They wont be for too long it seems , they plan to remove mistwalk which is a pretty huge asset to their toolkit , but that is 7.2 PTR again , also resto druid is really good aswell with the spam spec.

Probably Restoration spec. For me it seems most fun and it works really well in both PvP/PvE. It got really nerfed in 7.1.5 regarding PvP and struggling to stay competetive with Restoration Druids and Discipline Priests.

I won't play shaman sadly, but if i would, would definitely go for Restoration Shaman, seems like a really competitive spec for 3s
