I confirm this bug. Rightclicking on the gameobject "Corn Kernels" will let your character do some kind of chopping emotion infinitevely without any result.

Unfortunately, it blocks the achievement: http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=5843/lets-do-lunch-thunder-bluff

Still the same issue. Tested on all corn mash spawns on the central part of town, mashing animation plays, nothing happens
