There are 2 problems with this mechanic

1: If you blink or roll into the shield you most likely get the damage from ragnarok even seconds after you are already in the protection of the bubble
2: Ragnarok hits 10 times instead of 6 (9/1,5=6) making it kinda hard to time the shield properly since it hits really fast and it starts a ragnarok volley at the time it ends. With it's travel time that last one almost always hits the whole party after the shield is down.
Ragnarok: 3 second cast time 9 second duration means 12 second duration
Aegis of aggramar: 12 second protection
So we have to be safe even if we start the shield at the same time the boss starts casting ragnarok. Here, we'd wipe.

You can clearly see on the retail video that it sends 6 ragnarok volleys, and the last 1 second of the ragnarok is cast free to ensure that poor timing of the shield/moving out of the shield after the casting ends doesn't result in wipe because of the travel time of the spell.

Now on my video you can clearly see that it does it 10 times, and the last one always almost hits us either because I've started the shield earlier or because someone ran out of the bubble thinking "oh, ragnarok casting is over, I'm free".
Also, at 18 seconds you can see that the mage dies after blinking in to the bubble. (his character is right at my consecration icon in the middle)

I think the way it works here is that Ragnarok lasts 1-2 sec longer even after the animation ends, so that's why you gotta keep the shield a bit longer to be safe and not get oneshotted.

Nope, it doesn't lasts longer. However the periodic time was set to 1 sec now is 1.5 seconds as it should be. Confirm after restart to close the topic.
