Previously, new casts of PoM would remove the old one existing in your raid. So, you had to answer a few questions before casting PoM again:

Do I have a PoM already active within the raid?
How many stacks does it have left?
Who is the PoM on and will that person trigger it? Sometimes PoM falls flat on a player that won't take damage/damage is insignificant, and would warrant a recasting.


(Not to mention, answering these questions required some addon configuration)

Now in WoD, I don't care so much about the answers to these questions, and I can apply a proactive raid-wide heal with ease.

Didn't have the guts to make a own post: but I will add it seems to stack two times on my disc. tooltip first cast: 5x 5000 heals, second cast: 10x 10000 heal

Okay, so to summarize:

Let's say we have two priests: A and B.

A can cast it on X and Y, both will have a 5 stack PoM on them.
B can cast it on X and Z, now X will have 5 stack of A's PoM and 5 stack of B's PoM, Z will have 5 stack from B.

In case Y is damaged, and the PoM from him would jump to X, he'll have 10 stacks now from A and 5 from B.

Practically: PoM stacks for different casters, having a base 5 stacks, recasting it on the same target (or if another PoM from the same caster would jump to the target -> this is what they call colliding), their stacks now will combine (up to a maximum of 10).
