Quicksand, you didn't mention anything about pets on the topic. As far as I know, every heal in the game that heals a fixed amount of players ( not all ), will prioritize players over pets. Currently, if there are 2 players near the priest and 3 pets, it will heal the pets in most of the cases, instead of the players.

Read my answer there. PLAYERS without atonement OVER PLAYERS with atonement OVER other units (including pets, and all other things that don't fall into the PLAYER category).
