[Multiple] NPC spells targeting pets

The BM Hunter is not playable.

The pet from the BM die every time to the boss fights. If the Boss make a AOE Spell. The pet take dmg and die. The dmg off a Bm comes 60 % from the pet. And Pets never get dmg from AOE Spells. The pet take dmg only from single Target attacks . If the pet taunt a Boss he get single Target dmg but no from AOE all time and die every 5 seconds.

Yes. Pets like shaman's feral, Hunter's pet etc, still die instantly from AoE,

It's not because of Pet Avoidance... The avoidance part is working perfectly (when your pet takes aoe damage, it is reduced properly). Problem is that there are dozens of spells casted by bosses/trash that should NOT target pets at all, I already found a dozen one (by playing retail) and fixed those, but PvE devs mistakenly still cast every spell on everything instead of filtering some targets.

I removed pets as "targets" from many of the pve spells, but I did not have the time to go through literally all the spells.

I need you to bring me exact spells that damage your pets so I can fix those.

I think it's because of the reverted fixes due of the crashes on Saturday.

Pets actually barely took any damage few days ago, but on saturday after the announcement from Shocker they went back to being papers. I don't know if the fixes are up again but maybe that's the reason.

Actually that's partially true too. The general fix when I implemented player's Avoidance and fixed most of the issues with pet avoidance is still live, but the fix when I removed pets as targets from dozens of PvE spells was removed, so they are taking damage again from those.
We need to revisit the issue after fixes are reapplied

First Thanks for fix you did and sorry @Quicksand didn't see this Topic thanks for redirection. there are still boss fights that just keeps 1 shot pet on Mythic + for example last night doing BRH on Illysanna Ravencrest (Her ability Blazing Trail and Felblazed Ground) and Smashspite the Hateful (ability Fel Vomitus ) i was constantly spamming pet revive same goes for HoV on Hyrja and God-King Skovald(Adds when come and leave flame on floor) their ability 1 shot pets. Still i would appreciate if other players that notice pets dying on some boss fights for AoE to report.

Even rune of power can get targeted by corrupted blood @ il'gynoth lul, i guess the trigger that places the rune on the ground is considered my pet and can be targeted?

List Of Boss fights that target hunter pets or their AoE 1 shoting pets check youtube videos does Mythic level have any effect on damage to pets and its almost same damage for duration of boss fights pets lose around 1-3% and if its higher can be healed with Ability, and some boss fights target pets from other class example Demo Warlock, ill mention that happen more then once as confirmed

- Stage Two: Fury - When player is targeted by boss for Eye Beams leaves behind patches of Felblazed Ground that also rekt pets

[3]Smashspite the Hateful
- Ability Call of the Felbat - Fel Vomit A nearby felbat marks a target and then, after a brief interval, vomit fel bile in their direction, creating pools of Fel Vomitus when pets come in contact with that pool gets down fast with HP and shouldn't.

- Ability Nightfall AoE kills pet.

Halls of Valor

- Ability Sanctify The caster creates orbs of holy light that radiate out in all directions. Touching an orb inflicts 170625 to 179375 Holy damage to the triggering player and 121875 to 128125 Holy damage to all other players. Here pets trigger Orbs only should hit and deal damage to player same goes for Olmyr the Enlightened when he cast orbs also get hit by pet.

- Ability - Ravenous Leap Targets pets

[3]God-King Skovald
- Ability - While protected by the Aegis of Aggramar Skovald summons a Flame of Woe that fixates on a random player every 1.5 sec. As the Flame of Woe moves it spreads Infernal Flames AoE from it 1 shots pets

- Tangled Web Targets pets from all classes void tendrils from priest

Vault of the Wardens

- AoE from Lingering Gaze kills pets
