actually the charge is supposed to root your target at the beginning of your charge and the snare lasts for the charge duration, that's to prevent you from ending up in weird places, for example if you charge a guy and he's not rooted he can run behind a wall before you reach him and if he's right next to that wall you would finish your charge in the wall and be stuck, rooting is here to prevent that, it also prevents you from following someone across the map if they're moving at high speed, if you charged a druid that uses stampeding roar + roar of the crown and travel form there's a good chance you're going to run a good 100m or more before you actually catch up to him if he's not rooted when you begin to charge him
proof: from the exact same video, warrior is offscreen but the guy is already rooted and you can see the root ends exactly when his charge ends, time is 9:29
