Auction House question

Hello, i have been opening tickets for a few days asking for this... but GMs have not been able to answer me (or rather they dont read me and answer me "its a 15% tax" without reading the rest).

Ill make it simple... even if my class is Hunter, im a merchant, a trade prince by goblin standars, my role in this game is to make gold (mostly to pay my ridiculous expenses like a mammoth, a motorbike, etc), but on this server i've found something strange... what the hell is wrong with deposits?

As you can see here, i have 7376 gold and im going to post an auction which has a deposit of 11 golds... which should end with me having 7365 golds (around) yet it ends with 7321 which is about 44 extra golds that im not sure where they are going.

1) Is this working as intended?
2) How can i calculate which deposit is going to be asked?
3) Again, is it working as intended?

well from the look of your calculations, now this is just an assumption dont think this is the right answer but...from the look of it at 11 gold and it takes 44 more gold its 5x the rate of whatever the thing says the deposit is. since 55 is 5x11. hope this helps i guess?

But is it working as intended?

A 5x rate on AH deposits would be acceptable if we had 5x on gold... but we have 1x on gold.

Now, this high deposits de-incentivate the use of AH (which barely has any utility here), if the AH use was incentivated (which would require more things aside from dropping that seemingly 5x rate) more players could commerce.
