Legion Skinning missing after doing first quests

Hi, I've been wondering what to do about an issue, so I'm posting here to get some help.
I did the first Skinning quests a long time ago, I'd say months, but didn't get Legion Skinning. I didn't care much for professions at that time so I didn't bother with checking out the problem. The quest I got to was this https://www.wow-freakz.com/quest_helper.php?quest=40142&name=the-core-of-the-stormscale, but couldn't do it since I didn't have skinning so I left it that way. Now I want to start using my profession so I checked the necessities and discovered that I should've got Legion Skinning with the 2nd quest. I believe that at the time when I completed the first quests Skinning wasn't implemented, maybe I'm mistaken but I can't get it with the skill relearn book either so that's a problem. A bit ago I saw a post that said I needed 500+ skill to be able to skin in the Broken Isles( https://forum.wow-freakz.com/Skinning-t533949.html). Could it be that I don't need Legion Skinning? I presented my issue in-game with some tickets, asked if I could get my quests reset so I could start from the beginning but the GM couldn't help me with that so I thought a forum post would be better. Is there some way I could get a reset or is there a better solution? Any kind of help is welcome, thank you.




EDIT: I should mention that I abandoned that quest but it doesn't appear on the NPC anymore so I can't take it again, also tried to unlearn and relearn the profession and relog several times.

Tried one more time to make sure, didn't work. I also mentioned in the original post "can't get it with the skill relearn book either", but thanks for your input.


EDIT: Currently trying to get https://www.wow-freakz.com/item_finder.php?item=129860&name=stonehide-leather-sample through normal drop, gonna take a while. If it doesn't work I'll try to get my skill up and see if it works, will come back with an update later.

UPDATE: Leveled Skinning to 600 then tried to skin Legion mobs, worked. Got my https://www.wow-freakz.com/item_finder.php?item=129860&name=stonehide-leather-sample and I believe now I can take the quests again and do everything, also got my Legion Skinning so all is good now. I guess it was my fault for not having leveled Skinning but from what I knew Legion Skinning would have allowed skinning of Legion mobs regardless of skill. If anyone is having an issue with Skinning, just level up to 600, tried at 500 but didn't work.
