On the picture you linked there is no Earthquake as an affected spell, but Earthquake consumes the stack of Elemental Focus. There was a bug about it and it was fixed. Check here. Thus the proof you gave is not valid.

Elemental Focus buff says: "Your next spell deals 20 % increased damage and healing" and as far as I know is Liquid Magma Totem considered as a spell.

Elemental focus will empower the same spells from which it can proc. Totems are not included, with earthquake being the only exception.

I did some research and you are right. Liquid Magma Totem shouldn't use the buff of Elemental Focus and with that as a bug, it shouldn't increase the damage from it.
