Para realizar esta quest se deben examinar varios objetos, entre ellos "Well -worn Scroll Examined" pero este no te da la opción de hacerlo, por lo tanto no se puede completar la quest "Archmage Vargoth´s Retreat"

To make this quest several objects, among them "Well - worn Scroll Examined" should be examined but this does not give you the option n do so, therefore unable to complete the quest "Archmage Vargoth s Retreat"

I just tested the quest and it works.

Delete the cache folder, abandon and retake the quest.
