Details:
Yesterday i got a legendary ([Norgannon's Foresight]) from a Nightfallen cache and seconds after the server crushed. Next time i logged, the cache was unopened in my bag and when i opened it i didn't get the legendary.

Here is a screen shot of my guild news showing I got the legendary:
