Are there any plans to implement this quest line? I always enjoyed it especially as a druid. Being able to shapeshift into a dragon form seemed very thematic. I know there is the Sandstone Drake as well but the quest line for this was (yes looong as anything) very cool.

Unfortunately, for now there are no plans to script beyond what's already done for the quest chain. For the time being, you can purchase the item from the WoW Shop only.
